DJT Backyard Palm Beach

Editorial Standards

DJT Backyard publishes news and commentary from a conservative perspective on Palm Beach County and beyond. These standards govern how we work.

Sourcing

News stories require either an on-the-record source, a primary document, or two independently corroborating background sources. Anonymous sourcing is reserved for cases where a named source faces credible professional or personal risk; the editor must approve.

Opinion vs. news

We label opinion as opinion. News stories aim for accuracy of fact and fairness of context, even when the conclusions a reader may draw are politically pointed.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Significant errors get a corrections note at the bottom of the affected piece. Send corrections to [email protected].

Conflicts of interest

Writers disclose financial, political, and family ties relevant to a story. Staff do not accept gifts, paid travel, or honoraria from subjects of coverage.

AI use

We use AI tools for research and drafting assistance. Final editorial judgment, fact-checking, and publishing decisions are human. Generative content used in a published piece is disclosed.

Reader feedback

Letters to the editor: [email protected]. We publish a selection weekly. Letters may be edited for length and clarity; substance is not altered.
